Revamp your home in three easy steps

No matter how much we love our homes initially, over time we start to see the flaws. It’s easy to fall out of love with your home when you’ve lived there for little while. I suppose it’s only natural when you think about. If this rings true with you, then here is how you can revamp your home in three easy steps.

Revamp your home in three easy steps

I’ve mentioned before that I work from home. I love working from home in so many ways, it means that I’m always around for the kids when they need me, and I have a lot more flexibility than I’ve ever had before.

But working from home does have its drawbacks. When you spend pretty much all of your time in one place, it’s easy to fall out of love with it.

But it’s pretty easy to make some small changes to your home that will quickly help you to love it again.

1. Get rid of clutter

Decluttering is big business these days. We all seem to hoard so much stuff, and we’re guilty of this too in our house. But clutter can really impact your mood. Having a clearout is a great way to improve the look of your home really quickly. If you’re savvy about it, decluttering can also bring in some well-needed extra cash too.

Get rid of the toys the kids have grown out of, clothes that no longer fit, and stuff you just don’t use. List anything you think might sell on Facebook marketplace and take the rest to the charity shop or the tip. There’s no point in holding on to things you no longer need.

Getting rid of clutter has a huge impact on your home and your overall state of mind.

2. Change your colour scheme

One of the simplest ways to change the look of your home is to change your colour scheme.

Soft furnishings such as cushions and throws really do change how a house feels. Opt for colours you love but think about the overall effect those colours will have. Blues tend to be calming for example, whereas reds are more invigorating. Choose colours that will work well in each room and don’t opt for anything too dark.

3. Fresh flowers

This is such a simple tip but it has a huge impact!

I’ve started to buy fresh flowers every week. It means that I always have something different to look at and they add a pop of cheerful colour to the room.

If you’re unable to get out of the house to actually buy flowers, you can even buy them on Amazon these days and they will be delivered straight to your door!

These three steps are really simple ways to revamp your home, but they’re all incredibly effective. Do you have any top tips?
